As a Facilities and Grounds Specialist , you can proudly tell your family and friends that you help nurture hope, healing, and resilience in Idaho's youth by keeping our facilities maintained, and beautiful as well as helping maintain a safe, comfortable place for the youth we serve to receive services when they need them most.

Must Haves:

• Be enrolled in High School or possess High School Diploma or equivalent
• Excellent skills in carpentry, construction, landscaping, light electrical, light mechanical and general facility maintenance
• 1+ year in directly related experience
• Ability and willingness to work with adolescents

Preferred:

• Currently holds, or can acquire pesticide application certificate

Our Facilities & Grounds Specialists:

• Performs grounds and agricultural repairs and facility maintenance and repairs
• Responds to emergency calls from various systems
• Participates in the evaluation of physical, mechanical and structural aspects of campus buildings and grounds to ensure safe operation
• Performs preventative and emergency building repairs and maintenance

As a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit, the Idaho Youth Ranch is a qualifying employer for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PLSF) program. The PLSF offers student loan forgiveness on qualifying loans under specific conditions. Speak with your loan provider for more information.
