Education and Events Director

Description:

The Idaho Apartment Association is seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Education and Events to lead our Education and Events Committees and oversee the planning and execution of a wide range of Education courses and Yearly events. This role requires a creative thinker with exceptional organizational skills and a passion for delivering outstanding customer service.

The ideal candidate will possess strong negotiation abilities and have a background in event planning and property management. As the Director of Education and Events, you will be responsible for ensuring that all trainings, educations, and events are executed flawlessly while meeting the expectations of our members.

Responsibilities

Education Responsibilities

  • The planning and execution of training and educational opportunities, with the support of the Education Committee and Association Executive.
  • Serve as a team liaison and collaborate on Education and Membership Committees.
  • Procure and coordinate with Speakers/Trainers for association education opportunities.
  • Facilitate broader diversity in attendance at education classes.
  • Build member and sponsor relations to enhance member value.
  • Prepare for seminars and educational functions, including ordering food, organizing A/V, and room/venue setup.

Events Responsibilities

  • Development, preparation, and coordination of member events, with the support of the Events committee and Association Executive.
  • Serve as a team liaison and collaborate on Committees such as Events Committee, Golf Committee, Trade Show Committee, Tribute Awards Committee, and IAA Gives Committee.
  • Create marketing campaigns to promote event sponsorships.
  • Coordinate the day of event activities and event volunteers.
  • Coordination of event contracts for Association Executive approval.

Board Governance Assistance

  • Assist in securing space/location and coordinate details for Board of Directors monthly meetings as needed.
  • Assist in preparing, recording, and distributing the Board Meeting Minutes and the Executive Meeting Minutes.
  • Work with the Association Executive/Board to identify areas for growth (membership, revenue enhancement, etc.) and to develop and implement plans to achieve growth.

Travel

  • In-Person Membership Meetings and Events throughout the State of Idaho.
  • National Apartment Association (NAA) Advocate in DC.
  • NAA Apartmentalize.
  • AEX Live (every other year conference).
  • Travel to be prior approved with annual budget.

Membership Support Services

  • Assist in managing AMS database.
  • Assist in the production and distribution of newsletters or e-newsletters.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
