SUMMARY OF POSITION

As a Structural Engineer, you will collaborate with a team to solve engineering challenges, ensuring structures are safe, durable, and compliant with standards. You will engage in fieldwork, technical documentation, and apply engineering codes, offering an excellent opportunity for career growth.

This position requires residence in, or willingness to relocate to, Boise, Idaho or Salt Lake City, Utah.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform structural engineering work accurately, safely, and efficiently from project inception to completion.
  • Lead high-quality project delivery within budget and schedule.
  • Inspect, assess, and evaluate structures per applicable codes and standards.
  • Use engineering software for complex computations.
  • Prepare technical reports, plans, and specifications.
  • Collaborate with project stakeholders and supervise team members.
  • Participate in meetings and resolve project issues.
  • Assist with proposals, project scope, and cost estimates.
  • Develop innovative engineering solutions considering client and site constraints.

YOU WILL NEED

  • Strong knowledge and experience in structural engineering.
  • Proficiency in engineering software and office tools.
  • Excellent communication skills in English.
  • Problem-solving and data interpretation abilities.
  • Good organizational skills for task management.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in civil, structural, or ocean engineering.
  • At least 4 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in inspecting and designing bridges, waterfronts, and industrial structures.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

*PE license or ability to obtain within 1 year
*Valid US Driver's License

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • SE license
  • Relevant FHWA certifications
  • Valid US Passport

COMPENSATION

The hourly pay range in Idaho is $93,000 to $112,000, based on experience and education.
