Create and collaborate with Design, Engineering, Product Development, Safety and Quality teams to develop children's toys and products that promote early stage development.
Manage entire product lines through New Product Development pipeline. Assist with improvements to existing product line per Engineering Change Order process. Manage changes to existing product lines for launches in new global markets.
Evaluate designs that adhere to strict safety, regulatory and performance requirements. Evaluate feasibility of material selections to meet product requirements.
Oversee the generation of 3D CAD models and 2D drawing packages to communicate designs with vendors. Manage drawing database and file storage systems to maintain version control.
Lead Engineering Point of Contact with Quality Engineers to design and perform product validation tests for new and existing products. Interpret and communicate product validation results in intradepartmental meetings.
Maintain a working relationship directly with suppliers to evaluate designs and optimize for manufacturing. Research and implement new manufacturing methods and materials for use in new or existing products. Up to 5% international travel required to supplier in Asia.
Salary: $88,747 - $105,492 per year.
Bachelor's Degree or U.S. equivalent in Operations, Mechanical Engineering, or related field, plus 2 years of professional experience as a Product Engineer, Project Engineer, or any occupation/position/job title involving mechanical engineering of materials.
