PURPOSE

Establishes, implements, and directs install operation strategies across the enterprise. Works with regional and location leadership to facilitate and support installed best practices and collaborate to develop SOPs for BFS Installed Operations.

Candidate must live within 1 hour of a major airport with willingness and ability to travel up to 75% to our West Division facility locations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Analyzes and establishes installed services operational efficiencies to meet market goals and maximize working capital. Oversees the implementation of company strategies across the Division.
  • Oversees divisional-wide install operations to ensure increased sales and profitability of business mix, including establishing consistent and competitive pricing practices in coordination with market strategies.
  • Implements cost containment measures and analyzes all avenues of controlling both fixed and variable costs at an operational level.
  • Oversees install operations to improve product quality and ensures implementation of appropriate improvements that positively impact product quality.
  • Sets tone and direction to ensure proper inventory management in coordination with market goals.
  • Serves as a liaison between operations and various corporate and regional offices, ensuring operations align with company goals and strategies.
  • Understands and observes all safety procedures and practices to prevent injury; attends safety meetings and may recommend safety improvements.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Requirements include a Bachelor's Degree with five to seven years of experience managing install operations or supporting multiple install operations regionally or nationally, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Demonstrated experience with lean processing techniques and knowledge of construction and the building materials industry are required. Preferred experience includes field operations in installed construction services, such as roles as a field superintendent or project manager in home building.

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business periodicals, journals, safety and governmental regulations, and technical procedures.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including developing reports and presenting to business leaders and employees.
  • Problem-solving skills, data analysis, and ability to interpret technical instructions.
  • Knowledge of company products, competitors, and sales techniques.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ERP systems.

WORK ENVIRONMENT / PHYSICAL ACTIVITY

The physical demands are representative of those needed to perform the essential functions, including indoor and outdoor environments, travel up to 75%, and periods of sedentary work involving computer use and walking or standing as needed.
