Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Manager of Machine Learning Engineering (MLE) to own the execution and delivery of the MLE roadmap. This role will oversee the development and deployment of ML solutions for both GenAI and traditional ML. This role requires a mix of hands-on technical expertise, strategic leadership, and team management to drive innovation and deliver impactful AI-driven products.

Responsibilities

1. Lead, mentor, and grow a team of up to 10 ML engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration and delivery.
2. Manage project timelines, resource allocation, and team performance metrics.
3. Identify and mitigate technical risks and challenges, ensuring the timely delivery of projects.
4. Establish and maintain effective communication channels within the team and with other stakeholders.
5. Oversee development and productionizing of the entire AI/ML Life cycle.
6. Define and execute the AI/ML Engineering strategy in alignment with business goals.
7. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Data Science, MLOps, Engineering, IT, and Product, to create solutions for deploying, monitoring, and maintaining AI/ML solutions in production environments.
8. Ensure seamless integration of ML solutions with existing application engineering systems.
9. Ensure the scalability, reliability, and ethical considerations of deployed models.
10. Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in machine learning and AI.

Qualifications

1. 10+ years of experience in Machine Learning Engineering, with at least 3 years in a leadership or managerial role.
2. Experience building and delivering large-scale real-time and batch ML systems.
3. Strong programming skills in Python.
4. Experience with ML frameworks like LLMs, Scikit-learn, PyTorch, etc.
5. Experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred) and ML pipeline orchestration tools.
6. Understanding of algorithms, statistical modeling, and NLP.
7. Proven ability to manage and deliver ML projects at scale.
8. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Desired Qualifications

1. Experience building and productionizing LLM and Prompt Engineering systems.
2. Experience enabling the complete AI/ML life cycle including A/B testing, experimentation, and model interpretability techniques.
