Description:

Position Summary

Develops, communicates, and leverages a strategic vision aligned with company market and local plans and tactics to direct the management team and associates in facility operations, merchandising, and company direction. Provides supervision and development opportunities for management and hourly associates in a facility that may face issues such as high turnover, engagement challenges, inexperienced staff, and recruiting difficulties in a competitive market. Responsibilities include ongoing recruitment, training, mentoring, succession planning, performance evaluation, and fostering a sense of belonging in the workplace across organizational levels.

Upholds the company's Open Door Policy by engaging with associates, addressing concerns, researching issues, and ensuring responsiveness and resolution across managerial levels. Ensures compliance with policies by proactively managing compliance issues, developing relationships with government officials, and maintaining safety and quality standards. Oversees asset protection, safety controls, and operational reviews, developing action plans to address deficiencies.

Participates in community outreach programs, representing the company in high-visibility environments and fostering relationships within the community and media. Drives financial performance by achieving sales and profit goals, managing expenses, and analyzing economic trends. Ensures customer satisfaction through effective service and merchandise presentation, and manages the Academy training environment to uphold store standards and engage trainees.

Develops and implements strategies to attract and retain a skilled, engaged workforce, supporting mentorship, workforce development, and succession planning. Cultivates a respectful environment aligned with company standards of integrity and ethics, supporting the Open Door Policy. Builds partnerships with community stakeholders and promotes a culture of belonging, diversity, and inclusion.

Acts with integrity, maintaining high standards of ethics and compliance, and supports Walmart's sustainability efforts. Focuses on delivering results with a customer-first approach, using data insights for decision-making, and embracing continuous improvement and innovation.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree and 2 years of general management experience, including financial accountability, and 4 years supervising at least 50 nonexempt and 5 exempt associates, or

4 years of general management experience, including financial accountability, with similar supervisory experience. Additional requirements include successful completion of job-specific trainings and assessments, and, for firearm-selling facilities, background checks and certifications.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership via Live Better U and Bellevue University, with experience as a Store Manager in a low, medium, or high-complexity store, particularly in grocery operations.
