Responsible for cleaning hangars, equipment, perform janitorial services, ground maintenance and routine preventive maintenance across entire Western Aircraft campus.
Duties & Responsibilities
Cleans hangar floors and related equipment
Performs janitorial services as required
Maintains a daily cleaning schedule
Performs grounds maintenance as directed by Facilities Maintenance Supervisor
Detects and reports defective materials and/or questionable conditions
Maintains common work areas and equipment in a clean and orderly condition
Follows prescribed safety regulations
Performs prescribed preventative maintenance on machinery and building or grounds as required
Empties trash and removes recycling materials
Maintains outside walk areas including sweeping debris and washing walkways
Cleans and polishes fixtures
Tracks and orders maintenance supplies
Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications & Job Requirements
Ability to run floor cleaning machinery
Willingness to work outdoors in all climates
Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
Ability to work well with others interdepartmentally
Education
High School Diploma or equivalent
Other Prerequisites
Pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
Ability to obtain Airport Issued security badge
Valid Driver's License

Work Environment & Physical Requirements
Work is primarily performed outside of an office environment, in varying weather and times, as the duties are performed in scheduled shifts subject to providing coverage seven (7) days a week: evenings/nights, weekends, and overtime
The employee is subject to atmospheric conditions including one or more of the following conditions that affect the respiratory system of the skin: fumes, odors, dust, mists, gases, or poor ventilation
Reaching overhead, above the shoulders and horizontally
Exposure to working on ladders
Working around and with equipment having moving parts
Frequent standing, sitting, and walking, balancing, stooping - often for extended periods of time
Climbing and bending at the waist, crawling, kneeling, crouching, reaching, pushing, pulling and working at heights; Reaching overhead above the shoulders and horizontally
Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate valves, levers, power tools and equipment
Constantly requires clear vision to read printed materials and computer screen to accomplish work
Constantly requires clarity of speech and hearing, which permits the employee to effectively communicate
The employee may be exposed to biohazards including sewage
Exposure to dust, dirt, oil/grease, and gases
Exposure to fumes from aircraft and/or equipment operation
