Akkodis is seeking a System Administrator for a Contract job with a client in Boise, ID(Hybrid) . Candidate must have deep expertise in RHEL 8/9 and strong scripting skills in Shell or Python to automate system tasks and ensure high server availability.
Rate Range: $37/hour to $39/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
System Administrator job responsibilities include:
- Administer and support RHEL 8 & 9 systems, ensuring high availability and performance across environments.
- Develop and maintain automation scripts using Shell, Python, or similar languages to streamline system operations.
- Configure and manage LDAP directories and user authentication systems.
- Support virtualization platforms such as VMware and manage server deployments in both on-prem and cloud environments.
- Implement and maintain configuration management tools like Puppet and Redhat Kickstart for consistent system provisioning.
- Troubleshoot complex system issues, perform hardware maintenance, and ensure compliance with IT standards and security protocols.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of hands-on experience in system administration.
- Proficiency in RHEL 8/9, scripting (Shell, Python), and automation tools like Puppet.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware.
