We sincerely hope you will consider being part of our success!Position OverviewInformation Technology Services (ITS) has an opening for an IT Network Engineer III in Boise. This role involves managing, troubleshooting, and supporting complex network infrastructures across enterprise, datacenter, and service provider networks supporting multiple state agencies.Key ResponsibilitiesManage and support statewide network operations on a 24/7 basis.Configure, troubleshoot, and maintain network devices including switches, routers, and multiplexing equipment.Develop and maintain detailed network documentation.Design and implement network solutions and improvements.Support VoIP services and infrastructure.Lead or participate in network project planning and implementation.Minimum QualificationsBachelor's degree in IT or related field, or at least four years of relevant experience in LAN/WAN/SD-WAN networks within the last two years.Professional vendor certification (e.g., CCNA, ACE-L2, JNCIS).Experience with network design, management, and troubleshooting in enterprise environments.Knowledge of network protocols, topologies, and security concepts.Ability to work in a 24/7 on-call environment and travel as needed.Desired QualificationsExperience with Cisco and Arista network equipment.Strong understanding of network architecture and security.Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.Experience with wireless network deployment and management.Leadership experience in network projects or teams.BenefitsThe State of Idaho offers comprehensive benefits including health insurance, retirement plans, paid leave, and holidays.
