Position Overview

The role focuses on integrating advanced laser annealing and ion implantation techniques into modern semiconductor processes, particularly for memory, storage, logic, and power devices.

Ideal Candidate

Strong background in semiconductor device physics, dopant activation, crystal modification, and experience with multidisciplinary teams on multiple projects.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Technology Development & Process Integration
  2. Develop and optimize laser anneal and implant processes for modern semiconductor technologies.
  3. Design experiments, analyze data, and compile reports on complex process engineering tasks.
  4. Perform hardware characterization and troubleshoot complex systems.
  5. Collaborate with customer process teams to improve device performance and yield.
  6. Provide technical expertise on Sumitomo laser anneal and ion implant platforms, including LT-3100.
  7. Lead multiple technology development projects and promote hardware/software improvements.
Customer & Consortium Engagement
  1. Engage with customers through technical presentations and light technical sales support.
  2. Manage technical demos and develop DOEs to showcase laser annealing and ion implantation capabilities.
  3. Represent the company in industry consortiums and collaborative research.
  4. Knowledge of optics or photolithography related to laser processing is a plus.
  5. Willingness to travel internationally, including to France and Japan.
Qualifications & Skills
  1. MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Applied Physics, or related fields.
  2. Deep understanding of semiconductor physics, dopant activation, and material interactions with laser energy.
  3. Hands-on experience with laser anneal and ion implant systems, preferably LT-3100 platform.
  4. Ability to manage multiple projects and work across disciplines.
  5. Experience with customer presentations and technology demos.
  6. Bonus: Experience with optics or photolithography.
