Job Overview
The position of Architectural Project Manager will include design & technical skills as well as experience in project management to develop building design concepts and solutions in various markets. This position will exercise technical skills in preparing design visualizations, construction documents, and communication graphics. This role supports our ID and CA offices. Candidates with a wide range of experience are encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee all aspects of commercial architectural projects, including planning, design, documentation, and construction administration
Interface and coordinate site planning, engineering and interior design
Manage project teams, including architects, designers, engineers, and consultants
Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource allocations
Coordinate with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure project goals and objectives are met
Ensure compliance with building codes, regulations, and quality standards
Perform risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies
Review and approve design documents, drawings, and specifications
Manage contract negotiations and change orders
Conduct site visits to monitor construction progress and address any issues
Implement and maintain project management best practices and processes
Mentor and develop junior team members
Contribute to business development efforts and proposal preparation
Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture from an accredited institution
Current architectural license in the state of practice (or ability to get AIA/NCARB within 1 year)
Minimum of 5 years of experience in architectural project management, with a focus on commercial projects
Strong knowledge of building codes, regulations, and industry standards
Basic LEED knowledge
AutoCAD is essential
Strong organizational and time management abilities
Familiarity with BIM (Building Information Modeling) processes
Experience with project types: Mixed Use, Grocery Retail, Retail, Restaurant, General Commercial, Public Works, and facility remodels.
