Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of commercial architectural projects, including planning, design, documentation, and construction administration
- Interface and coordinate site planning, engineering and interior design
- Manage project teams, including architects, designers, engineers, and consultants
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource allocations
- Coordinate with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure project goals and objectives are met
- Ensure compliance with building codes, regulations, and quality standards
- Perform risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies
- Review and approve design documents, drawings, and specifications
- Manage contract negotiations and change orders
- Conduct site visits to monitor construction progress and address any issues
- Implement and maintain project management best practices and processes
- Mentor and develop junior team members
- Contribute to business development efforts and proposal preparation
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture from an accredited institution
- Current architectural license in the state of practice (or ability to get AIA/NCARB within 1 year)
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in architectural project management, with a focus on commercial projects
- Strong knowledge of building codes, regulations, and industry standards
- Basic LEED knowledge
- AutoCAD is essential
- Strong organizational and time management abilities
- Familiarity with BIM (Building Information Modeling) processes
- Experience with project types: Mixed Use, Grocery Retail, Retail, Restaurant, General Commercial, Public Works, and facility remodels.
