Duties

  • Assist with implementing and administering PCG and client accident prevention plans, policies, and procedures.
  • Provide safety technical expertise, training, and resources to the branch and workers.
  • Identify, evaluate, and mitigate safety and health hazards, both routine and non-routine.
  • Conduct job site inspections and audits for compliance with safety policies and accident prevention plans.
  • Promote and enforce safe work practices through coaching and safety engagement.
  • Investigate and report work-related injuries, illnesses, and near-misses, enforcing corrective actions.
  • Review safety incident reports for accuracy and completeness.
  • Ensure timely submission of safety reports, statistics, and documentation.
  • Act as a liaison with clients regarding site safety management.
  • Establish safety goals and ensure adherence to safety regulations.
  • Evaluate and approve safety equipment and PPE.

Basic Requirements
  • At least 3 years' experience in construction safety.
  • Bachelors degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Construction Management, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to interpret specifications and drawings.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Effective team collaboration skills.
  • Willingness to learn new skills and technical functions.
  • Strong customer service and relationship-building skills.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities under pressure.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Knowledge of trade tools, equipment, and materials used in construction.
  • Knowledge of OSHA, MSHA, EPA, and relevant safety standards.

Preferred Requirements
  • OSHA certification.
  • Safety professional credentials (e.g., CHST, ASP, CSP).
  • Fluency in Spanish.
  • Training experience.
