Power Delivery Transmission Line Project Manager

POWER Engineers, Member of WSP, is seeking a Transmission Line Project Manager for our Power Delivery Project Management team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing technical, schedule, and financial aspects of Power Delivery Transmission Line projects, managing and developing client relationships, and marketing our Power Delivery services to existing and new clients in the Mountain and Upper Midwest regions. Ideally, this PM will be located near our offices in Denver, CO; Boise, ID; St. Louis, MO; Overland Park, KS; Ann Arbor, MI; or Burnsville, MN. We will also consider applicants for other locations with a POWER Engineers office.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Promoting company culture and managing internal and external relationships
  • Managing status reporting, invoicing, accounts receivable, and unbilled work for each project
  • Collaborating with project design teams regularly (e.g., project status meetings)
  • Providing leadership and mentoring to project teams
  • Developing scopes of work, schedules, and budgets; updating these regularly
  • Establishing and reviewing contracts with clients
  • Leading client relationship efforts
  • Working primarily with Power Delivery engineering and design staff, interfacing with other POWER divisions as needed
  • Traveling to regional clients and other POWER offices as required
  • Managing multiple projects simultaneously with strong organizational skills
  • Demonstrating project management skills, including CPM scheduling, budget analysis, team management, invoicing, contract negotiations, marketing, and presentations

Required Education and Experience:

  • PE registration or PMP certification
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or related field
  • Relevant experience in small to medium-scale project management or engineering project leadership
  • Knowledge of project management tools such as Primavera P6, Ecosys Forecasting, Risk Management, Change Management, Earned Value Analysis
  • Knowledge of electrical Transmission Line and Distribution engineering principles
  • Proficiency with financial analysis tools and Microsoft Office suite
  • Strong leadership and communication skills

Desired Experience:

  • 10+ years of industry experience
  • 5+ years of electrical Transmission or Distribution project management/engineering leadership
  • Familiarity with regional utilities

POWER Engineers offers competitive compensation, benefits, and a rewarding work environment. Our salary range for this position is $125,000 - $160,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications.
