Job DescriptionPerformance Contracting is seeking a Branch Safety Engineer for its PCI Boise 548 operations based in Boise, ID. This individual will be responsible for the following duties:Assist with implementing and administering PCG and client accident prevention plans, policies, and proceduresProvide safety technical expertise, training, and supporting resources to the branch and workersAnticipate, identify, evaluate, and mitigate safety and health hazards, both routine and non-routineConduct job site inspections and audits to assess compliance with safety policies, procedures, and accident prevention plansPromote and enforce safe work practices among all employees through coaching and ongoing safety engagementInvestigate and report work-related injuries, illnesses, and near-miss incidents, enforcing corrective actions to prevent recurrenceReview all safety incidents and investigation reports to verify accuracy and completenessEnsure timely submission of PCG and client safety & accident reports, statistics, and documentationAct as a liaison between the company and clients regarding site safety managementEstablish branch and project safety goals while ensuring adherence to safety regulationsEvaluate and approve safety equipment and personal protective equipment (PPE).This position is safety-sensitive. Basic RequirementsMust have at least 3 years' experience working in construction safetyMust have a Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Construction Management, a related discipline, or comparable work experienceWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Microsoft Excel and Microsoft WordA clear understanding of how to read and interpret specifications and drawingsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to work effectively in a team environmentAbility to learn new skills by engaging in technical job functions and applying new skills as they are taughtStrong customer service skills and an ability to build lasting client relationshipsMust have critical-thinking and problem-solving skills with an ability to work under pressure and deadlinesAbility to prioritize projects and daily activitiesGeneral knowledge of trade tools, equipment, and materials used in the construction industryStrong working knowledge of OSHA, MSHA, EPA, and other relevant regulations and construction safety standardsPreferred RequirementsOSHA certificationBoard of Certified Safety Professionals credential (e.g., CHST, ASP, CSP) is a plusFluency in Spanish is preferredTraining experience is preferred At Performance Contracting, our employees are our greatest asset.
