Darigold is looking for motived Material Handler Operator to join our Bethel team in Boise, Idaho. The Material Handler operator is ultimately responsible for the timely and accurate tracking of ordering packaging and ingredients for the plant, unloading and loading of trailers and physical management of product for the plant. This position is responsible for following all Food Safety and Quality requirements as outlined in Darigold's Good Manufacturing Policy, Standard Operating Procedures, and facility employee training sessions. The position is also required to report any concerns that may impact Food Safety or Quality to their immediate supervisor, the plant Quality Manager or the Plant Manager.
Duties for the position include:
•Picking plant orders/Shipping to plant.
•Receiving.
•Organization of Storage Area.
•Maintenance and Sanitation in the Work Area.
•Inspecting, Quality Assurance, ingredient samples to plant.
•Transferring of packaging, materials, and ingredients.
•Ensuring accurate and timely counts and reporting requirements.
•Inventory balancing of all 3 warehouses and reconciliation in Oracle.
•Packaging buyoff between Bethal and plant material handlers, by item.
•Work with plant production specialists for cycle count timing and adjustments.
•Explanation for +/- $2500.00 adjustments on cycle counts.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
•Must be able to read and follow directions of load sheets, schematics, product labels and have numerical ability.
•Safe Operation of a stand-up forklift, sit-down forklift, and an electric pallet jack (certified preferred)
•Safe Load/Unload of semi-trailers
•Accurate/Timely receiving and inventory management practices; use and tracking through scan guns, pallet tags, pick lists, packing slips, BOLs, computer entry into Oracle and Access Lot Tracking data base
•Self-motivated and able to work without close supervision and perform multiple tasks.
•Knowledge of shipping/receiving/inventory control.
•Ability to move 60 pounds repeatedly.
•Willing to work nights/weekends/holidays.
•Must be able to work in a cool and refrigerated environment.
•Can use an RF scanner gun
•Able to primarily stand and walk throughout a 12-hour shift
•Strong written and verbal communication
•Basic Math skills
•Ability to meet all warehouse performance standards
•Ability to meet attendance and punctuality standards
•Ability to learn rapidly and perform multiple tasks
Education, Experience and Certifications
•High school diploma or equivalent preferred
•1 year production experience preferred
