POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for transferring medical equipment, goods and stock from one location to another. The Logistics Associate works closely with operations and sales to ensure the safety and on-time transfer and delivery of medical device equipment.
QUALIFICATIONS
Educational Requirements:
High School Degree required, bachelor's degree (BS/BA) preferred.
Experience Requirements:
A minimum of 2-3 years related experience.
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Valid Driver's License
- Proactive self-starter with a demonstrated knowledge of principals and methods for moving medical device equipment including customer delivery and pick-up of medical equipment; inventory maintenance.
- PC/Microsoft Office software suite, Mac/iOS, general office equipment, smart phone, and mobile apps.
- Physical Requirements:
- Sitting: Extended periods at a desk, workstation, or in a vehicle.
- Standing and Walking: Movement within hospitals, offices, and warehouse settings. Occasional outdoor movement will be required.
- Lifting and Carrying: The employee is frequently required to walk; use hands; stand; sit; reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 60 pounds.
Additional tasks may require reaching, manual dexterity, and visual acuity.
INTERPERSONAL CONTACTS External: Surgeons, customer staff, and support vendors
Internal: Direct Reports, Sales Personnel, Marketing, Product Development, Finance, Administration, Customer Service, Operations, Medical Education, Clinical Research, and Human Resources.
Travel requirements: 20% travel with overnight stay possible, including extended periods of time in the car.
Extent of Confidential Information: Confidential information regarding operations of the immediate area and customers.
Reporting: Employee will be required to report requested information from myOps and/or ERP systems to support local office.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES - Completes specialized assigned tasks that frequently require the exchange of detailed technical or sensitive information.
- Read maps and route configurations.
- Occasional Surgery support in the Operating room
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evening, weekends, and holidays, as well as emergency off- hours as required.
- Comply with patient privacy laws.
- Ensures prompt and courteous service is delivered to all customers in person and in all communications.
- Shares information with all team members to improve service to customers.
- Safely load, secure, and deliver medical equipment to customers.
- Educates and engages customers at the time of delivery.
- Retrieve equipment from customer locations.
- Ships and receives medical equipment and supplies.
- Assists with inventory management.
