General Summary:

Keep the flow of parts moving through the powder coat paint line by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prepping parts for paint including plugging holes, taping, etc.
  • Hangs parts with appropriate spacing utilizing correct hooks for the parts
  • Inspects painted units for runs, sags, and unpainted areas
  • De-hang parts and stack appropriately for damage free product
  • Cleans and maintains paint line equipment
  • May record waste water discharge and PH reading daily
  • Safely operate hoist
  • Safely operate forklift or power buggy per supervisor discretion
  • Pay careful attention and use care when handling machinery and equipment
  • Performs other duties that may be assigned
  • Regular and predictable attendance is required

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
  • No prior experience; High School degree or GED.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Ability to operate hand tools & air powered tools.
  • Ability to operate hoist.

  • While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand and walk. The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, or crouch.
  • The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds as well as stand on feet for 10 hours a day in a fast-paced environment. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision and depth perception.
  • Employee may be exposed to various chemicals such as hydraulic fluid, gas or diesel fuel, cleaners, etc.
  • Noise level in the environment is loud and hearing protection is required.

Compensation and Benefits:
  • Pay wage: $19/hour
  • Shift: Day Shift (5am-3:30pm)
  • 9 or 11 paid Holidays (depending on schedule)
