Employment Type:Part timeShift:Day ShiftDescription:Position PurposeSaint Alphonsus is seeking a compassionate, dedicated Patient Care Technician to join the team at the Ten Mile Surgery Center in Meridian, Idaho.At the Ten Mile Surgery Center, Patient Care Technicians support clinical operations by performing a variety of tasks including room turnover, rooming patients, escorting patients to their vehicle post-procedure and more.This position has the opportunity to cross train in the Operating Room, Materials and Sterile Processing. Our ideal candidate has experience in surgical services.Position Highlights

• Schedule: This PRN/On Call position will assist with clinic coverage as needed to support heavy Ortho, ENT, and General Surgery. Monday through Thursday. Weekends, nights and holidays are not required!
• Day 1 Benefits: Full-Time and Part-Time colleagues with Saint Alphonsus are eligible for benefits from their very first day of work. PRN position is not eligible for benefits.
• Team Environment: Collaborate with a dedicated team focused on patient care and quality outcomes.Minimum Qualifications
  • Must be currently enrolled in high school, in process of completing a GED, or has already obtained a high school diploma or GED.
  • Must be BLS certified from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
  • Valid Drivers License may be required.What You Will Do
    • Assist with turning over rooms between surgical cases.
    • Prepare surgical supplies for scheduled cases and assist with sterilizing surgical instruments.
    • Assist licensed clinical staff by performing patient care activities as assigned by the nurse.
    • Participate in continuous surveillance, rounding or monitoring for safety.
