Overview

Senior Coordinator, Community Programs: Injury Prevention & Child Wellness

Responsible for the daily operations and decision making that supportSt. Luke's Children's Service Line Injury Prevention & Child Wellness team,programsand initiatives.

  • Conducts assessments andresearchesbest practices, to create and develop programsappropriate forinjury prevention. Coordinates and implements evidence-informed policies, programs, practices, and events.Assistsleadershipwithassessing risks and researching opportunities.?Supports initiatives related to pediatric trauma across the system and directly for the Boise pediatric trauma program.

  • Prepares andmaintainsproject plans, tracks project progress, and prepares reports for clients or project stakeholders. Implements changes meant to improve performance or efficienciesto support injury prevention across SLHS. ?

  • Completes ormonitorsorganizational functions or processes, ensuring that they are completed accurately, on time, and in compliance with established policies and regulations. Serves as the liaison for the program between the organization and collaborativepartnerswhether in the community or employer setting.?

  • Collects and develops reports based on findings of program data and createsprograms in response to injury findings. Participate inevaluation methods for use in program planning and reporting.?

  • May lead team members and direct workflow, staff assignments and resources to achieve department goals. May design and deliver presentations,workshopsand written materialsregardingprogramto clients or project stakeholders.?

  • May prepare and organize conferencesor eventsfor the program.

  • Mayparticipatein workgroups or committees with staff and members of the community at anindividuals, employers/businesses and local/ regional or state agency organizational level. May develop, manage, and report on budget while ensuring fiscal responsibility.?

  • May write,coordinateandsubmitgrant requests for funding to support program activities. Works closely with the grant office and Foundation for required reporting.Seeksadditionalresources, both direct financial support and donations of in-kind goods and services, to support program activities.?

  • May create and update websites,blogsand internet communications, organize news conferences and media events around program issues, activities, and/or products in the community oremployer-setting.?

  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Education:Bachelorsdegree

  • Experience: 5 years relevant experience

  • Licenses/Certifications: None

Preference:

  • Bachelors/Masters Public Health

  • Injury prevention coordinator experience

  • Experience leading people (this position requires management over an existing team and program that is in place).
