Business Planner

This role is based remotely, but if you live within a 50-mile radius of Atlanta (GA), Austin (TX), Detroit (MI), Warren (MI), or Mountain View (CA) you are expected to report to that location three times a week, at minimum. The Business Planner will be responsible for coordination of business activities for OnStar International Markets & Global Commerce. This individual will be expected to work effectively with key stakeholders within GM and must be capable of communicating with and facilitating the strategic and operational involvement of various teams within our global organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for presentations and documents that will be represented as being from the Director of OnStar International Markets & Global Commerce. In addition, the Planner will be expected to work in partnership with key stakeholders throughout the global organization on strategic business and operational initiatives that drive profitable growth for OnStar and our eCommerce business. The desired candidate will be team- and results-oriented, possess strong business and commercial acumen, and thrive in a fast-paced environment. For this role, the ideal candidate must know how to achieve results in the matrixed, multi-discipline structure of General Motors. The candidate must understand the critical collaboration points with key entities that interface across our global functions. The candidate may be required to travel with the Director of OnStar International Markets & Global Commerce, as needed.

Key responsibilities include managing most aspects of work as directed by the Director of OnStar International Markets & Global Commerce which will require coordination with regional leaders, coordinating work, as needed, with other Business Planners throughout OnStar and General Motors to provide a synchronous and efficient flow of information, planning and coordinating content for all people meetings/town halls as well as external engagements if required, delivering results by actively supporting the planning, development, and execution of key organizational strategies and initiatives, effectively prioritizing work and proactively improving processes that align with business objectives, and taking on special projects that require confidentiality and discretion.

Required qualifications include a BA/BS in Business, Marketing, Finance, Computer Science, or related fields, 5+ years total experience in business planning, program management, consulting or similar related roles, and 3+ years of demonstrated experience in strategy, project management, or other relevant leadership experience. The candidate must be a strategic thinker with effective interpersonal skills to work collaboratively across all levels to ensure understanding, message, and communications are appropriately tailored to the audience. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with exceptionally strong attention to detail are required. The candidate must be able to work under very tight time constraints and deliver high-quality work, highly proficient/masterful in Microsoft Office with emphasis on presentation design and development, and have advanced analytical skills with the ability to interpret data to provide insights and recommendations to complex, unusual or difficult problems. Strong interpersonal skills and experience in effectively managing relationships and influencing key stakeholders across all levels of an organization are also required. Expertise in managing and leading complex projects and assignments with a high degree of autonomy, confidentiality, and accountability for results is necessary. High integrity and acute political sensitivity are also required.

Preferred qualifications include a strong team- and results-oriented individual with demonstrated track record for being "Low Ego, High Impact," significant knowledge and understanding of GM's matrixed structure, and demonstrated knowledge and experience in Subscription Sales and Digital Commerce across multiple geographies and cultures.

Compensation information is a good faith estimate only. It is based on what a successful applicant might be paid in accordance with applicable state laws. The actual base salary a successful candidate will be offered within this range will vary based on factors relevant to the position, as well as geography of the selected candidate. The salary range for this role is $110,000 - $172,100. The actual base salary a successful candidate will be offered within this range will vary based on factors relevant to the position.
