Requirements for Fire Sprinkler Service Technician:

  • Journeyman Sprinkler Fitter Card Required
  • Willingness to work occasional night shifts, weekends, and alternative hours to meet the needs of the customer. Required
  • Fire Sprinkler installation and repair experience is required.
  • Backflow testing certification OR/WA is preferred.
  • Portland Fire Extinguisher Certification is preferred.
  • Active Driver License. Required
  • Adequate communication skills and a personable demeanor.
  • Portland and Washington Fitter Card Preferred.
  • Familiar with NFPA 25, NFPA 13/13D/13R. Required
  • Have a growth mindset and obtain certifications promptly

Essential Duties for Fire Sprinkler Service Technician:

  • Submitting all reports and relevant paperwork promptly.
  • Perform Fire Sprinkler inspections, service, repairs, and minor tenant improvement tasks.
  • Carry out backflow testing, and repairs.
  • Service, test, and replace Fire Extinguishers.
  • Manage a 40-hour workweek, with rotational on-call duty for emergency service
  • Daily communications with the Project Manager and/or Schedule Coordinator on inspection or project delays, requirements, and general status of jobs.
  • Basic Proficiency in English required. Candidates must have a basic understanding of English for safety purposes and to communicate with colleagues, vendors, and contractors on-site effectively. The ability to follow instructions and engage with the team is essential for success in this role.
