For a FinTech and RegTech industries in the Philippines and Southeast Asia, we are seeking a skilled Accounting/Finance Officer to join the team. As a Finance Manager, you will be exposed to the modern project management and work organization techniques, as well as the latest trends and technologies used in banking and finance. You will be in charge of the financial health of the company by organizing and supervising accounting operations.

Your Role & Responsibility

  • Manage all accounting transactions (both current and also beginning balances/previous years), including the review of transaction journal entries in the Company's Accounting System. Responsible also for recording manual adjusting journal entries which are approved and authorized only by Senior Management.
  • Keep accurate records for all daily transactions.
  • Primarily maintain the documentation for the supporting evidences of all financial transactions.
  • Track bank deposits and payments, and the bank and other financial accounts reconciliation.
  • Oversee and ensure timely and accurate company disbursements (including salaries of employees and all billings due to vendors, providers, and others).
  • Track accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  • Oversee the invoicing/billing process.
  • Manage the Company's liquidity and asset management (including bank accounts management and recommending the needed credit lines and facilities which can help in meeting the liquidity and profitability targets).
  • Perform financial budget, forecast & cash flow forecast analysis (including the monitoring of actual figures and projected volumes against budgets and projections).
  • Manage preparation of Monthly/Periodic Balance Sheet and Income statements.
  • Oversee the preparation of reports submitted to the Senior Management and other stakeholders (including the reports' adherence to regulatory and accounting policies and procedures).
  • Handle monthly, quarterly, and annual closing and reports.
  • Oversee the company taxation and prepare tax returns.
  • Participate in financial audits.
  • Implement controlling procedures.
  • Draft/Review and implement financial and accounting policies.
  • File taxes in accordance with Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) requirements (monthly, quarterly, and yearly).
  • Ensure proper usage of the accounting tool Xero for recording and reporting purposes.

Your Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA is a plus and preferred.
  • At least 3 years + experience as Accounting/Finance Officer or similar position; accounting experience in BSP-registered Operator of Payment Systems (OPS) industry is a plus.
  • Expertise in control functions, especially in IFRS/PFRS/GAAP, while also understanding the implications of these functions on business operations.
  • Exposed to Banking in terms of accounting process and procedures.
  • Risk management and Internal Control literate.
  • Leadership of accounting and operations functions.
  • Solid knowledge of financial and accounting procedures.
  • Experience using financial software.
  • Advanced MS Excel, Word skills.
  • Knowledge of financial regulations.
  • Excellent analytical and numerical skills.
  • Good communication skills working in an international environment.
  • Self-driven, motivated, and able to work with limited supervision.
