Licensed Mechanical Engineer HVAC/MEP Design

An established MEP consulting firm is seeking a Licensed Mechanical Engineer to join its growing Boise office. This is a key role for an experienced engineer looking to make a meaningful impact on complex, high-performance building projects across sectors including healthcare, education, commercial, and civic.

What Youll Do

• Lead the design of HVAC and plumbing systems for new construction, renovations, and infrastructure upgrades
• Prepare mechanical system calculations, equipment selections, and energy code compliance documentation
• Coordinate closely with architectural, structural, and electrical teams to ensure fully integrated MEP solutions
• Oversee the development of construction documents using Revit and AutoCAD
• Attend client meetings, site visits, and field inspections to support design and construction coordination
• Mentor junior engineers and designers, supporting their technical development and quality of deliverables
• Support project managers with schedules, budgets, and team coordination

What Were Looking For

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE)
• Proven years of HVAC/MEP experience in the AEC or consulting engineering space
• Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD; familiarity with Trane TRACE, HAP, or similar tools preferred
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative, solutions-focused mindset
• Experience working with clients, consultants, and contractors during all phases of design and construction
