Calibration Technician

Our rapidly growing analytical laboratory is a unique community of people and values. Our scientific and quality teams are looking to expand our community into the calibration world. The engineering technician will be involved in a variety of tasks from equipment calibration, troubleshooting, facility maintenance, and providing assistance to engineers and laboratory personnel.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • This position is considered entry-level and will work under the guidance and direction of engineering team.
  • Perform routine calibration of laboratory equipment including analytical balances, pipettes, sensors, biological safety cabinets, and other equipment.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of calibration tests, adjustments, repairs, and equipment records.
  • Be willing to travel to customer sites to perform and assist with calibration / qualifications activities including equipment and cleanroom certifications.
  • Conduct system testing, troubleshoot equipment failures, perform basic repairs, and diagnose problems.
  • Assist engineering team with tasks related to facility and laboratory operations, including HVAC, purified water systems, and environmental monitory equipment.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum high school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • Must be mechanically inclined and detailed oriented.
  • Must be able to work in a team environment, communicate well both orally and in writing.
  • Must be able and willing to travel if necessary. Real ID required. Passport preferred.
  • Physical ability to move about laboratory and office areas.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
