The Day Resource Assistant is responsible to assist with all activities of the Day Shelter, including hot meals, laundry facilities, shower facilities and distribution of personal use items. The Day Resource Assistant, working with other staff and volunteers, will assist with handling all incoming food donations and purchases, and maintaining clean facilities for all Social Services programs. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: Detail oriented and attention to detail. Self-starter Team player Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain poise under pressure Customer service mindset must be congenial and able to work with difficult individuals. Previous experience working with homeless and other vulnerable populations. Ability and willingness to keep information confidential. Licenses and Certifications High school diploma or GED. Current driver's license.
