This Human Resources Business Partner position is designed to positively impact Live! Casino & Hotel by streamlining HR processes, collaborating with HR and operational departments, and enhancing employee relations. HRBPs will also help identify, develop, and groom team members for career advancement.

Responsibilities

Where You'll Make an Impact:

  • Strategic Partner: Adjust HR strategies to respond to changing needs, identify new business strategies, anticipate talent issues, develop future leaders, prioritize HR needs, and analyze key HR metrics.
  • Review and critique performance reviews, assist with ratings, and help managers provide constructive feedback.
  • Interview management candidates to ensure capabilities match role requirements.
  • Collaborate with recruitment to craft job descriptions and staffing plans.
  • Operations: Assess employee attitudes, communicate organizational culture, policies, and procedures, and ensure HR programs align with company values.
  • Update managers and staff on HR initiatives, track employee behavior trends, and participate in departmental meetings.
  • Manage employee files, review exit interviews for retention strategies, and handle payroll inquiries.
  • Team Member Mediator: Manage conflicts, investigate employee relations issues, respond to organizational changes, and resolve political or interpersonal challenges.
  • Handle employment verification requests.
  • Emergency Responder: Respond promptly to complaints, questions, and team member needs, and prepare for various situations.

Skills to Help You Succeed

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; Kronos Workforce experience preferred.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to perform under pressure, be flexible, and manage time effectively.
  • Judgment to escalate issues appropriately.

Qualifications

Must-Haves:

  • 5-7 years of HR experience, including staffing, benefits, employee relations, and training.
  • Bachelor's degree in HR or related field; PHR/SPHR, MS, or MBA preferred.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain necessary licensing as per regulatory requirements.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to move quickly within a large casino environment.
  • Sitting 70%, walking 25%, standing 5%, keyboarding 50%.
  • Ability to go up and down stairs multiple times daily.
  • Willingness to work extended hours in a 24/7 operation.
