Junior DevOps Engineer

What you will do:

  1. Assist senior developers with the technical setup of pipelines.
  2. Ensure the availability of running services.
  3. Assist with migration of locally deployed services to Kubernetes.
  4. Manage and utilize logs and monitoring tools.
  5. Ensure high availability for existing services that are part of the organization's key infrastructure.
  6. Maintain and manage active deployments.
  7. Automate tasks using Ansible and perform configuration management.
  8. Participate in deployment and testing procedures.
  9. Receive operational training on key logistic systems handling high message loads.
  10. Perform on-call duties as applicable.

What we are looking for:

  • At least 2+ years of hands-on experience with the skills listed below:
  • Knowledge of Linux
  • Experience in building CI/CD pipelines
  • Ability to create deployable scripts
  • Knowledge of Terraforming
  • Experience with administration of cloud environments (GCP, AWS, Azure)
  • Experience with Google Kubernetes Engine and Google Config Connector
  • Experience with monitoring and alerting setup
  • Knowledge of Prometheus, Thanos, Grafana
  • Proficiency in Git, using GitLab/GitHub
  • Proficiency in English
  • Self-starter with the ability to take on challenges
  • Willingness to constantly learn and improve

What we consider a plus:

  • Knowledge of FluxCD
  • Knowledge of programming languages such as Java, Python, .NET, or others
  • Proficiency in German language
