SAP Budget to Report (B2R) SME

TG Federal is seeking a SAP Budget to Report (B2R) SME to support a large Federal (DoD) contract.

Program Overview: The ERP+ project is focused on upgrading the clients ERP system from SAP ECC to the modern SAP S4 HANA. This technical upgrade aims to streamline processes through business process re-engineering and adopting a fit-to-standard approach for system configuration. Key objectives include designing requirements for end-to-end processes, creating a technical solution, and establishing data and change management strategies. The project's ultimate goal is to optimize client operations while minimizing customization of the new system.

Clearance: Active DoD Secret Required

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited United States college or university in a field of study relevant to his/her professional role.

  • Nine (9) years of progressive, relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities/Qualification Summary

· Budget-to-Report (B2R) Process Knowledge

o In-depth knowledge of the B2R lifecycle, including budgeting, fund allocation, transaction processing, and reporting

o Demonstrated ability to explain GL posting logic, account derivation, and fund usage independently and accurately

o Strong expertise in Funds Management, including budget structure, AVC (Availability Control), and real-time budget tracking

o Proven experience supporting federal financial reporting, including monthly/quarterly/year-end reporting cycles

· Financial Accounting (FI) Expertise

o Extensive hands-on experience with the SAP FI module, including rapid configuration to meet user and mission-specific requirements

o Strong understanding of GL account structures, posting logic, and integration with other finance components

o Proficient in supporting month-end and year-end close processes, financial statement generation, and reconciliation activities

· Federal Sector Experience

o Experience supporting Federal Government ERP implementations is preferred

o Familiar with public sector accounting standards, reporting, and compliance requirements

o Understanding of budget execution, audit readiness, and appropriation law constraints

· SAP Platform and Configuration Skills

o Deep configuration experience in SAP S/4HANA, including FI (Financial Accounting) and FM (Funds Management) modules

o Skilled in integrating FI and FM with other modules such as MM, CO, and PS

o Experience aligning SAP configurations with the Fit-to-Standard approach for government agencies

Additional Requirements:

· Experience supporting Federal Government projects

· Previous ECC to S/4 HANA lifecycle implementation experience (minimum two preferred)

· Prior DoD and client ERP Experience

· Experience with planning and executing via the SAFE Agile framework in similar size/complexity projects

· Strong communication (verbal and written) skills to work in a dynamic environment

· Consultative approach to problem solving

· Operationally efficient

Working Conditions:

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

  • Occasional travel to the Washington DC area may be required.

  • Must be available for after-hours or emergency support as needed.
