The UI Extension 4-H Youth Development unit is seeking applications for a 12-month, tenure track position as an Assistant or Associate professor, Area Extension Educator. The Educator will provide program leadership, district-wide technical support, and state-wide leadership in 4-H Science, Healthy Living or Citizenship. They will facilitate training for 4-H volunteers and staff based in Positive Youth Development (PYD) principles that will promote youth Thriving indicators leading to becoming actively engaged citizens. In addition, the educator will focus on expanding partnerships and bringing ancillary external resources to support the 4-H youth development program (80%). In addition, the educator will produce or conduct scholarly or creative products or activities (15%), and will participate in applicable university, college, Extension, district and community committees and perform other service assignments (5%).
