STRATA is seeking a full-time Senior Project Manager with an emphasis on our vertical services to join our Boise, Idaho team.
STRATA is a Geotechnical Engineering and Construction and Materials Testing firm that has developed a culture that cares about you and your success. We work within the construction industry performing testing and inspections on soil, concrete, asphalt, and other building materials.
This position is responsible for overseeing and coordinating vertical construction projects from inception to completion. The role involves business development, planning, budgeting, supervising/mentoring, and supporting staff to ensure compliance with safety and testing and inspection standards. Ensures the project scope of services are accurate and commensurate with the proposed construction and standard of care, and supported by qualified and certified staff, within budget, and according to the required quality standards and applicable building code(s).
Manages projects and maintains client communications during project procurement, project duration, and project close out. Responsible for all areas of project execution including project planning, budget tracking, progress reporting, risk management, contract compliance, quality management, project set up, reporting, and invoicing.
Supports development of proposals, fee estimates, agreements/contracts, and reports compliant with industry standards, client expectations, and technical accuracy. Provides oversight and review of project-specific proposals with other Project Managers to ensure accuracy and thoroughness.
Develops and maintains an accredited International Code Council (ICC) Special Inspection training program which includes effective mentoring and training of others and ensuring vertical team members are adequately trained and certified.
Works with leadership to develop a Company-wide business development plan to approach growth opportunities in vertical construction including client networking, delivering client training, and adding specialized inspection service lines across STRATA's geographic areas.
Requires excellent verbal and written communication including the ability to write reports and correspondence legibly, accurately, and professionally. Must be able to communicate effectively with clients, contractors, supervisors, and co-workers.
Will possess a thorough working knowledge of applicable testing procedures as defined by American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM), American Concrete Institute (ACI), American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO), Idaho Transportation Department (ITD), American Society for Nondestructive Testing (ASNT), International Code Council (ICC), American Welding Society (AWS), National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies (NICET).
