Over 50 million people use Speechify's text-to-speech products to turn PDFs, books, Google Docs, news articles, and websites into audio, enabling faster reading, more reading, and better retention. Today, nearly 200 people worldwide work remotely for Speechify. Our team includes frontend and backend engineers, AI research scientists, and professionals from Amazon, Microsoft, Google, Stanford, Stripe, Vercel, Bolt, and other startups and entrepreneurs.

Overview

With the growth of our iOS app, ranked #18 in the productivity category in the App Store and recent recognition as Apple's 2025 Design Award for inclusivity, we seek a Senior iOS Engineer to support our expanding user base and work on innovative projects to advance our mission.

This is a key role for someone who thinks strategically, thrives in fast-paced environments, is passionate about product decisions, and has experience creating delightful user experiences.

Our interview process involves several technical rounds, aiming to complete within one week.

What You'll Do

• Lead key engineering and product decisions
• Ship production code for the Speechify iOS app
• Collaborate within a dedicated product team
• Participate in product discussions to influence the roadmap
• Maintain and improve the existing complex app architecture

An Ideal Candidate Should Have

• Experience with products scaled to large user bases
• Track record of taking products from inception to traction and responsibility for engineering
• Customer obsession, ensuring the best user experience
• Product thinking for strategic evolution
• Speed in generating ideas and shipping features
• Focus and discipline in a remote, high-growth environment
• Technical skills in Swift and SwiftUI

Technical Requirements

• Proficiency in Swift programming
• Experience with SwiftUI
• Multithreading programming skills
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines
• Familiarity with Fastlane
• Knowledge of SOLID principles
• Experience with Git and version strategies

Salary

• US-based salary range: $140,000 - $200,000 + bonus + equity, depending on experience
