The Associate Director, Congress Planning & Execution leads Amgen's Therapeutic Area (TA) Congress Planning function within the centralized Amgen Congress Team (ACT). This leader is responsible for managing a team of Senior Managers and Project Managers in the strategic planning, delivery, and post-congress performance evaluation of Tier 1 and high-priority Tier 2 congresses globally.
Operating at the intersection of science, strategy, and execution, this role ensures cross-functional alignment with Medical, Marketing, Compliance, and external partners to deliver consistent, impactful, and compliant congress experiences. The role is critical to advancing Amgen's mission of scientific leadership and meaningful HCP engagement across global markets.

Basic Qualifications:
Doctorate degree and 3 years of experience in congress/event planning, strategic operations, or cross-functional program management in the pharmaceutical, biotech, or healthcare industries.
Or
Master's degree and 5 years of experience in congress/event planning, strategic operations, or cross-functional program management in the pharmaceutical, biotech, or healthcare industries.
Or
Bachelor's degree and 7 years of experience in congress/event planning, strategic operations, or cross-functional program management in the pharmaceutical, biotech, or healthcare industries.
Or
Associate's degree and 12 years of experience in congress/event planning, strategic operations, or cross-functional program management in the pharmaceutical, biotech, or healthcare industries.
Or
High school diploma / GED and 14 years of experience in congress/event planning, strategic operations, or cross-functional program management in the pharmaceutical, biotech, or healthcare industries.

The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is posted. Actual salary will vary based on several factors including but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
