Bay Area boutique litigation firm with deep roots in the Bay Area, known for thoughtful, effective legal representation across complex matters, is seeking a Litigation Associate. This remote-friendly opportunity is for attorneys licensed in California and based in the Bay Area / Northern California. The role offers flexible remote work with a collaborative, supportive environment.

Base pay range: $120,000.00/yr - $220,000.00/yr.

Responsibilities

• Managing all phases of the litigation process from investigation, pleadings, and discovery to pre-trial, trial, settlement, and appeal.
• Drafting legal documents including pleadings, discovery requests and responses, motions, briefs, reports, and correspondence.
• Conducting legal research and analysis to develop case strategies and legal theories.
• Representing clients in court proceedings, mediations, and arbitrations.
• Advising clients on their legal rights and obligations.
• Negotiating settlements on behalf of clients.
• Collaborating with a team of attorneys and paralegals to ensure efficient and effective handling of cases.
• Maintaining a high level of professionalism and confidentiality in all interactions with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
• Keeping up-to-date with the latest legal developments and changes in laws that may affect clients or the practice of law.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the California Bar.
• Minimum of 5 years of litigation experience, preferably in a law firm environment.
• Experience in drafting motions and briefs.
• Strong legal research and analytical skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple cases and projects simultaneously.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in legal research software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• A commitment to providing exceptional client service.
