GovCIO is currently hiring a Senior Computer Network Architect to support our newly awarded United States Coast Guard (USCG) Maverick contract. This position will be a remote position.
Responsibilities include designing and developing system architectures, defining key capabilities and performance requirements, defining total systems design and technology maturity constraints in accordance with mission requirements, developing systems and system element architecture and design and interface definitions, defining system implementation approach and operational concept, developing models and architectural guidelines for current and future system development, ensuring requirements are met and evaluating performance with the customer, interfacing with the user(s) and all other stakeholders in order to determine their needs, generating the highest level of system requirements based on the user's needs and other constraints such as cost and schedule, performing cost-benefit analyses to determine whether requirements are best met by manual, software, or hardware functions, making maximum use of commercial off-the-shelf or already developed components, designing and developing solutions to applications problems, system administration issues, or network concerns, and developing partitioning algorithms (and other processes) to allocate all present and foreseeable requirements into discrete partitions such that a minimum of communications is needed among partitions, and between the user and the system.
Qualifications include a Bachelor's with 12+ years of network architecture experience (or commensurate experience) and clearance required: Must be clearable up to an active Secret clearance M066.
