Position Summary
Were currently looking for a Senior District Development Manager (SDM) to join our team in Commercial Truck. Reporting to the Region Manager (RM), the SDM is responsible for growing the Bridgestone tire and retreading business within their District, working closely with the Bridgestone Market Team and our Strategic dealers to ensure sales results are achieved and fleet customer needs are met. This position can be remote; the ideal candidate will live in Boise, ID.
Responsibilities
- Owns primary responsibility for one or more of our Strategic dealers at their headquarters.
- Owns communication with all dealer customers at a sold-to and ship-to level across their district.
- Assists RM with the vetting, hiring, onboarding and coaching of new teammates.
- Responsible for in-house share development, dealer retention, and succession planning.
- Business planning with dealer to communicate established growth targets and set strategies to reach attainment.
- Tracks and communicates progress toward growth targets, collaborating with Bridgestone Market Team and dealer to address gaps.
- Trains and adopts programs and Fleet Care Solutions (Intellitire, Reach, Toolbox, BaSys Global, etc.).
- Manages distribution changes and creates business case for AMP process.
- Manages setup and backend payout for Certified Associate Dealer accounts.
- Monitors dealer inventory levels, sell?in, and sell?out monthly.
- Forecasts with dealer for future orders/needs.
- Manages cross?functional internal communication.
- Collects and reports competitive market intelligence from competitive dealers.
- Plans for and secures Bandag Franchise renewals.
- Works with TSG to develop three?year plans for usage of BD Smart Resources.
- Addresses business and billing issues between the dealer and BCS.
- Collaborates with pricing and marketing to identify opportunities.
Minimum Qualifications
- Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of related experience with a bachelors degree; or 6 years and a masters degree; or a PhD with 3 years of experience; or equivalent work experience.
