We are currently hiring for a Shipping and Receiving Associate I in our Boise, ID location. This position will assist with basic tasks involved in the shipping and receiving process at Porvair Filtration Group. This entry-level role focuses on handling, moving, and organizing goods to ensure that incoming and outgoing shipments are processed accurately and efficiently.Duties / ResponsibilitiesReceiving and Inspecting GoodsUnload shipments and inspect products for damage or discrepancies.Verify shipment contents against purchase orders or invoices.Shipping PreparationPack, label, and prepare products for shipment according to Company and customer guidelines to ensure damage-free delivery.Ensure accurate documentation for outgoing shipments and pick up of goods, small package, LTL, FTL, etc.Negotiate general shipping rates with various vendors: Leverage shipping volume to justify discounts and/or decrease in rates.Inventory ManagementAssist in maintaining accurate inventory records.Organize and store products in designated areas.Satisfy customer's documentation and retention requirements.General Warehouse DutiesMaintain a safe and clean work environment.Coordinate with other functional areas of the business (Purchasing, Quality, etc.) and participate in continuous improvement activities.Qualifications/TrainingHigh school diploma or equivalent.Basic understanding of shipping and receiving processes.Attention to details and strong organizational skills.Must be self-motivated and highly organizedStrong analytical and communication skills requiredMust exhibit independent thinking and problem solving.Ability to interpret blueprints and specificationsAbility to conduct analytical researchExperience and working knowledge of Microsoft Office programsAbility to safely use power toolsWork Environment: Warehouse / manufacturing sitePhysical Demands: Must be able to lift 50+lbs regularly.We offer a comprehensive benefits package with a 401k match, as well as a safe and clean working environment.
